Jennysput
Hi. My daughter used to be in an IB school up to gr 9. She chose commerce stream at gr 9, which means she didn't learn Chemistry from gr 9. She moved to a local school (non IB school) in gr 10, and learn Chemistry here, which covers: - atomic structure - atomic theory - quantum mechanics - electron configuration - periodic table - chemical equation (balancing the equation) - compound naming convention - Chemistry Basic Law (Lavoisier, Proust, Dalton, GAy Lussac, and Avogadro Law) - Relative atomic mass She is intending to pursue pharmaceutical science. I have checked that some of the universities that we intend to go to require either Chem SL/HL with the requirement of SL being higher. Considering that my daughter has skipped chemistry for a year in gr 9 and maybe there are some gaps that she has during her year 10 study, would you recommend Chem SL or HL?
