shigeki11
People need to believe that order can be glimpsed in the chaos of events” (adapted from John Gray, Heresies, 2004). In what ways and to what extent would you say this claim is relevant in at least two areas of knowledge? I've already written a draft, but my teacher wasn't very impressed with it. I covered :WoK:Language Perception AoK:HistoryMath Ethics I don't really know how to do this topic...can anyone help? Reply
ndymylz
I was considering writing my essay on this question aswell.Natural Sciences, Human Sciences and History were all areas of knowledge that I felt attempted to understand "order in chaos of events".My rough thesis involved the idea that our "...need to believe that order can be glimpsed in the chaos of events" was the reason that these areas of knowledge exist. However, our teacher told us to focus on integrating "knowledge issues" into the essay. How can I associate knowledge issues with our desire for knowledege? deissi
Don't cover WoKs and AoKs separately, as my TOK teacher/examiner says, it's not very interesting. You should rather discuss AoKs and, in a subtle way, show how they relate to different WoKs. Reply
