Iron in Spinach IA

Recommended Posts

I am currently in the experimental stage of my chemistry IA (sl) and it is a redox titration where the indicator is KMnO4 (0.01 M), the acid H2SO4 (1 M), and my independent variable is different boiling times of spinach. I am trying to test how much iron is in the spinach water after different periods of boiling, but am having trouble determining when the endpoint is. Every time the solution turns pink, it goes back to clear around one to two minutes later. Does anyone have any advice as to how I can determine the endpoint? Or maybe I should change my indicator to a more potent solution? Any help will be very much appreciated!
