younghyun
hi! so i was thinking, for my world lit essay, i was thinking of comparing the novel Perfume and The Outsider. I'm not sure what to write or compare/contrast on these books. Like specific titles, i have broad ideas. but i cant think of specific titles. any suggestions? Sandwich
As formulating the title is actually a criterion of the mark scheme, we cannot generate a specific title for you here at the forum, as it would be unfair and against IB rules :] If you give the broad ideas, however, we might be able to help you refine it a bit, although not give a finalised title for the essay (: Reply

Flippy
Hey, just a friendly word of warning, my English teacher told us to be careful if we were using the Outsider for our World Lits, because students tend to get so bogged down in the philosophy and the meaning instead of analysing the language and its effects. It's difficult to do that anyway, because Mersault's language is so stilted unless he's describing nature. Just be aware! Reply

dirtsadirtsa
I think comparing characters, dunno what kind of aspect, but that would have been an interesting comparison (it most often is:) Reply
sweetnsimple786
I love taking the antagonists and justifying their actions. We haven't studied these books, so I can't help you out much. I just remember that you should probably avoid talking about themes, even if you are doing symbolism Reply
