Bio EE on pH levels of oceans?

Hey. I'm just starting my EE proposal and I am still confused about what an appropriate topic would be. I know that I want to do Biology but i'm not sure if my idea would be do-able. I'm interested in the growing acidity of the oceans and have done some research. I can go to both the atlantic and pacific ocean this summer, so I have it available to me but I don't know if I should go into that topic. Does it seem realistic?

Well for biology and PH you would have to do a lot more. For example, you need to make ecological connections. If the level of PH is 10 or 1, that is an extreme for plankton to grow. Which would then disturb other secondary consumers. Also, within the two areas you need to be more specific. For example, say 10 meters into the water, otherwise you will have two variables for measurement.
also the two locations have to be meaningful. You have to know what exactly would even effect the Ph and why you are doing it. At the moment, it just seems that your trying to use the opportunity of a different location test.
