njs
Hi, I have a problem with my English B Extended Essay. I have done a lot of research, but I dont know which topic I should choose. I want to write about modern British architecture and its impact on the society (with certain buildings specified) or generally the relation between the buildings and the society. How to formulate the topic so that it would be appropriate for English B? I cannot write essay on Architecture, because it is technically impossible in my school. Some time ago I wanted to formulate subject this way: What is symbolic meaning of certain modern buildings in X (British city)? How they are supposed to affect the society (I would analyze the buildings) and is that goal (of the architects) accomplished (I would tackle the problem of society only in this part, for example making an internet poll). Would one of this topics be appropriate? Remember, this is an English B essay, so I guess that the problem of the society/ british culture should be more substantial then the architectural styles? Please help me, I don't have much time to do that! Edited January 31, 2009 by njs Reply
