Identifying ions in aqueous solutions

IBSQUARED

Recommended Posts

Well our school doesn't have spectrometers so we need to use a flow chart to find out what the ion content of the solution is.

If it contains one of the following ionic compounds

sodium chloride
potassium chloride
silver nitrate
copper (II) nitrate
copper (II) sulfate
sodium carbonate
zinc sulfate
potassium sulfate

I know if the aq solution is blue, then its copper, but if it isn't blue, how would I set this up? All help is greatly appreciated <_<
Thanks in advance
