humingyay
I want to study Neuroscience after IB and I've asked a lot of people including teachers, and also googled to know which course I need to study at university to approach my goal. So I figured that it has to be related with medicine right? But then, there are gajillion types of medicine courses and I have no idea which one to select. It can't be medicine and surgery so I'm guessing biochemistry or medicinal chemistry? Please help me out. Sorry if this topic is at the wrong place Reply
Chesire_Cat
I want to study Neuroscience as well, and i found a couple of courses which might help... You didn't say wherever you wanted to study in the UK or in the US, but there's a course for Neurology for undergraduates at Columbia (US) at King's College London (UK) http://www.kcl.ac.uk/ugp09/programme/94 or Sussex(UK) http://www.sussex.ac.uk/biology/syllabus/2006/B1001U.html Sussex wants 34 points I am sure there are more universities out there with neurology programs, otherwise maybe premed and then neurology? I can't do premed because I'd need Bio as well, so I don't have as much choice as you do... Good luck! Edited November 1, 2008 by Chesire_Cat Reply

I also found out that Newcastle (UK, 34) and British Colombia (CAN, 38) has neuroscience courses but some of the universities want maths HL or physics which I don't have =_= They want 3 science courses. It doesn't really matter where; I can move anywhere to study the course Good luck to you too ^^ Edited November 2, 2008 by humingyay Reply
irenesme
I wanted to go in neuroscience too. Does anybody know if neuroscience is more chemistry leaning or biology leaning? I am taking biology in high school and I'm not sure if I have a strong enough chemistry background to go into neuroscience... Reply
