Sandwich
Really it depends on what you learnt in the last year or so. "Pre-IB" is just something invented by certain schools where they don't feel that their normal curriculum matches well with the IB curriculum, mostly in the US & Canada where I think subject choice can be a bit less rigid. Many people just follow their own country's national curriculum and then go directly into the IB. It's highly likely that the normal curriculum in your own country will have been sufficient grounding to cope with the IB no problem! If you took Maths and Science subjects in the last year then I'd be pretty surprised if you hadn't already covered most of the core knowledge you'd need for the IB. And to be perfectly honest, you don't need much core knowledge at all because the IB is designed to teach it all to you over the course of 2 years. Basically, don't worry about 'pre-IB' it's not a special thing by any means! You should be absolutely fine. 1 Reply
