mal
I know it obviously uses reason, and maybe intuition, but what else is there? And how? and in areas of knowledge I kind of figured that it is used in ethics and the natural sciences. Is there anything else? Reply
El :3
According to this site here, utilitarianism is 'an effort to provide an answer to the practical question “What ought a man to do?â€. Its answer is that he ought to act so as to produce the best consequences possible.' Thus, I believe that it uses the following WOKs:Reason - since utilitarianism is based off what is morally right or wrong, we use our reason to determine which category our actions fit underIntuition - same as aboveEmotion - we also rely on our emotions to determine what is right or wrongAOKs:Human sciencesNatural sciencesEthicsPossibly religious knowledge systems when determining what is wrong or rightI hope I helped a bit - this website is also quite useful http://www.iep.utm.edu/util-a-r/ 1 Reply
