Help for my WIT thesis

The play I am doing for my WIT is Ghosts by Ibsen. I was wondering if this would be a good thesis for my WIT.

Topic: How do ghosts that haunt Mrs. Alving affect the way she acts.

 

The ghosts that haunt Mrs. Alving cause her to act differently than what was expected by a woman in the 19th century, which was when the play was written.

 

I've talked to some of my friends and they tell me that I shouldn't be talking about the world and how it was like during the time it was written and focus more on the play. So would I need to change it?

Yeah you need to focus more on the play and the effect the ghosts have on the meaning of the text/on her as a character.
