maturk
Hey, I've never written a personal statement and I would like to hear some tips from others who have already written theirs. Any tips? Reply
IBProcrastinator
Hey here are some suggestions for you. 1. Make it personal. Tell something about yourself, add information that is personal and specific about you. Tell what makes you stand out from others. 2. Create a balance between your academic and external activities. 3. If you have work experience, write about it. It shows you are committed to the subject area. Consider answering questions:Why do you want to study this course? What are your plans after you complete the course? What skills do you bring to the course? Good luck 2 Reply

ibstudent321
This is a great source which is on the Imperial youtube channel (even if you are not applying to Imperial). Although it's long the presenter is engaging and humorous so you should be able to watch the whole thing. It really helped me with my personal statement. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jQ3MJgdkJY Good luck! Reply
