Preparation for Individual Oral Commentary

In a week I have my English orals, I was wondering if anyone has any helpful tips on how to prepare and what should be included in the discussion? For the larger texts I don't even know were to begin. I have a collection of 10 poems by Sylvia Plath and the two pieces of literature are King Lear and The Writing Life. I'm starting to freak out and any help would be vey much appreciated.

Hi, I hope this is not too late. The first thing you want to know about IOC is that you should have the texts analysed. You can do it yourself, but since time is short, you should search online and look for annotations. You begin by you name, candidate no, session, IOC, etc. and then introduce the text you're going to talk about. Then analyse the most important parts of it. That's it. If you're looking for a list of resources, you can find them on my blog. Best of luck for your IOC!  :gluck:
