batool
My Chemistry IA is testing the affect of cooking time on the Vitamin C content in broccoli. Working on my analysis and stuff, I feel like it's more biological than it is chemical and I'm kind of concerned. I feel like the only Chemistry that's been done in the entire IA was the titration bit with DCPIP to calculate the ascorbic acid content. Is there a way to make this more of a Chemistry IA without actually changing the practical? Or am I over thinking it and the Chemistry part of it is sufficient? Thanks guys x Reply
Tom Hiddleston
You have titration and that's part of the Chem IB curriculum so you should be fine. As long as you're analyzing with chemistry concepts such as stoichiometry your IA mark should not be effected as long as the base of your data collection and analysis is chemistry. Wishing you luck.
