Presentation TOK presentation- artemisinin discovery

Hi everyone!

 

I have chosen Tu Youyou's derivation of artemisinin from traditional Chinese medicine as the real life situation for my TOK presentation. Now, I am trying to think of a knowledge question do to with indigenous knowledge systems and the natural sciences. I was thinking something along the lines of:

How can indigenous scientific knowledge become mainstream scientific knowledge?

I think you should change it to How can we differentiate between indigenous scientific knowledge and mainstream scientific knowledge? or How do we know if certain knowledge is indigenous scientific or mainstream scientific? It might give you more material to speak about knowledge rather than just the science part.
