207451 Posted August 26, 2015 Report Share Posted August 26, 2015 Hi All, Just did my IOC today and I'm feeling very confused and unsure at how I went. I definitely did not do as well as I hoped. I looked up the marking scheme and estimate my self around 19-20/30. I was wondering what it would take from here to achieve a 6 or 7 in SL English and if its still possible. mr_awesome Posted August 26, 2015 Report Share Posted August 26, 2015 (edited) Well according to the MAY 2015 IB grade boundaries, a 21/30 would be classified as a 6. So at your estimate you would be sitting on a high 5. Also keep in mind, your IOC mark and your FOA mark are tallied up and divided by 2, to get your actual IA mark for English SL. Aim for the highest marks as possible in everything that remains...and you might just get what you want. And don't leave studying for exams to the last minute either, because much depends on these too.
