aman.1001
Hi there, I was just wondering what would be the best courses to take for architecture, since I'm starting DP next year. These are the courses I have chosen as of now, but I was wondering if I should change them: HL HistoryHL English Literature (Mandatory at my school)HL Visual Arts SL Physics SL MathSL French Many of my friends have been telling me to take chemistry, however it is not mandatory nor recommended for any of the uni courses I have researched so far. I cannot take two sciences as well as a group 6 at the same time, so i was considering taking chemistry in summer school, but I just wanted to make sure that it is absolutely necessary. Thanks Reply
nightshae007
I'm planning to be an architect as well I'm taking 4 HL's: Physics, Math, Visual arts and English. You might want to ask for 4 HL's to include Physics (I got special permission from my school ) since some units might want Physics HL Reply
kevG
you dont really need history or chem to be an architectso drop history to sl and take physics hlalso ive known people who went to study architecture with sl math and i wouldn't exactly recommend you to take 4 hl's cause you need to understand that you'll be studying 4 different courses at uni-level which is no joke, on top of: ee, cas and tok. but if you can handle the pressure then go ahead Reply
