audy
Hi guys. I'm struggling with my TOK presentation. I want to analyse in which way personal knowledge affect other ways of knowing. However, I was wondering... can ways of knowing (intuition, sense perception, emotion) be classified as a personal knowledge? Reply
ibprincess
Personal knowledge is what you know because you came to your own ideas conclusions about it (whereas shared is what a group knows because they had ideas and conclusions as a group). The basic principles of TOK are that we know through the ways of knowing (intuition, sense perception, emotion...) and everything we know is filtered through at least one of those things. So the way of knowing cannot be classified as personal knowledge but personal knowledge can be developed by using the ways of knowing. 1 Reply
