SLMC
Hi, so my subject are the followingBiology HlPsychology HlEconomics HLFinnish A1 SLEnglish A1 SLMath studies SL I want to go and study in Scotland after Ib and the universities I would like to apply are university of Edinburgh and university of Glasgow. The degrees I am most interested in are business & law and international business. Are these subject choices good? I know it would be preferable to have atleast math SL but I have always struggled with math and that's why I chose math studies. My teacher told me that I have a good chance of getting 6 or 7 in math studies. Should I drop biology to SL and do English Hl instead. My only worry is that I am not really good at English, I even struggle in my Finnish lessons even though Finnish is my mother tongue. I am not really a science person either but I found Biology much more interesting than English. So what do you think? Do I have a chance to get into the universities that I mentioned with these subjects. Reply
Pink97
University of Edinburgh:(Law) - http://www.ed.ac.uk/studying/undergraduate/degrees?id=M114&cw_xml=degree.php(Business) - http://www.ed.ac.uk/studying/undergraduate/degrees?code=12&action=subject§ion=whyStudy&cw_xml=index.php University of Glasgow:(Business) -http://www.gla.ac.uk/undergraduate/degrees/businessmanagement/(Law) - http://www.gla.ac.uk/undergraduate/degrees/law/As you can see there aren't any stringent requirements to get into business at either university. However, to get into law at Glasgow you need to attain a 6 in HL English and you'll also be required to take the LNAT. Therefore, I suggest you drop either psychology or biology to SL so you can take HL English and meet the requirements of Glasgow.Hope I helped!
