camcam123
I have decided to write about Gail Halvorsen, who was a member of the airlift troops involved after the Berlin Blockade. He went above and beyond his duties of delivering food to the blockade victims, by also dropping candy and chocolate form the plane to ease the discomfrot of the children trapped. His efforts are considered of a humanitarian nature, so my discipline could either be in Human Rights or History, but I'm leaning towards History because I heard its extremely hard to classify an essay as human rights. I just can't, for the life of me formulate a thesis topic, as they all seem generic or not worthy enough. ANy help would be appreciated, as I'm pretty much stuck in my extended essay venture. Thanks in advance for any advice, suggestions, or anything else. Reply
__inthemaking
What is your research question? Your thesis should be the answer to that. Reply
camcam123
I don't have a research question either. I'm trying to focus my topic by creating either a thesis/research question. (Obviously a crucial step in this hwole process). It just isn't coming to mind, though. Reply
cereja
If you know what you want to talk about, ask your teacher. I knew the basics of my paper, but my teacher was the one who helped me formulate the question. Teachers can't assign you a topic, but they can sure help you word yours in a way that's logical Reply
camcam123
Great advice except our beloved history teacher has recently quit to take a university teaching position. If no one can help me here, I'll have to resort to asking the new teacher who has never taught IB, isn't IB trained, and never been an advisor for EEs. :[ Reply

camcam123
IBC is out because she's brand new and oblivious to anything IB, but I guess I'll consult another tecaher Reply
