IB style
Writers often use a character who is alienated from his or her culture or society in order to explore cultural or social values. Examine this idea with reference to at least two works studied. How should I write a commentary relating of mice and men and A Doll's House/Antigone to this question? under-cover
I haven't read A Doll's House, but I do know a little about it.So, what I would do is look how Of Mice and Men and A Doll's House both use their characters that are alienated from their society to explore social values. So, in Of Mice and Men, we see how Lennie is isolated (talk about how the author achieves this) and what this tells us about the society. Similarly, in A Doll's House, Ibsen uses his main character (the woman, don't know her name) leaves her family (hence, isolating herself) to explore social norms (especially in relation to marriage). These are just the main ideas I would use at the core of my essay. If there's anything else you don't understand (like structure), tell me.Hope this helps Reply
