Biotechnology in particular is a very specific subject, so the way it is taught can vary significantly depending on the university.Going off the top three in the list akash posted above, Cambridge only offers a 'natural sciences' subject where you pick a number of sciences for the first and second year, only being able to focus on biology in the third year. Since it's not a strict biotechnology course it'll also be highly theoretical, looking more at biology in general. Oxford on the other hand offers a biomedical course, but will likely be similarly theoretical. In comparison, Imperial offers a biotechnology course, so it'll likely be more focused on that topic only (and focus may vary)All three courses have their advantages and are suited for different people, but you need to decide upon that more than anything. Some universities may move a lot quicker than others, some may put a larger emphasis on a particular aspect of the subject.
