bluedino Posted September 21, 2013 Report Share Posted September 21, 2013 Rather than be picky about what type of business you'd like to do your IA on, I think the goal for you is just to find any local business who is willing to help you out. Local is definitely better because they're more likely to be a single store (my teacher recommended that franchises/companies with multiple stores are a no), and you'll have easy access to asking them information?I actually just physically walked around my suburb and went into stores asking how they'd feel if I did an IA on their business - describing what it entailed of course. You'll probably get lots of rejections, or if you're lucky, you might come across a store who'll be willing to say yes! Another thing to consider is - do you have any family or friends who own a store? That could be an easier route to go since you'd be more familiar with them?
