Dovahliink
What should I include in my commentary on this article? I've talked to my teacher and he suggested that I could discuss what the government should do with an overproduction of food (storing, alternative allocation of resources, etc.) and discuss how it could be possible for the government to keep the food prices relatively stable (such as buffer stock schemes). I'm also doing the standards, like defining and explaining the key words of the article (such as monetary policies, CPI, inflation, aggregate demand, etc.) as well as considering the possible short/long term consequences for consumers, firms and the government of increasing food prices. I might also explain the purpose and function of a central bank. Are these good ideas for including in the commentary? Why/why not? And do you have any suggestions for what I might discuss in addition to or instead of some of these points?http://www.nytimes.com/2013/01/12/business/global/food-prices-lead-december-inflation-in-china.html?_r=3& Reply
