belliebanana
It is compulsory at our school to do a SL subject anticipated - meaning they complete the course one year earlier.I was recommended to do anticipated SL maths, but I'm not sure if it will be too difficult as it means two years of maths learning crammed into one year. Any ideas? Reply
flinquinnster
You know, I would actually love to take an anticipated subject, but I can't! If you're a decent maths student, I think that you would be able to cope with Maths SL in one year, as frankly there is not that much to learn, and the problems they ask you cannot be that hard. As long as you do your homework and lots and lots of revision/practice questions, you should be able to prepare within the compressed timeframe. Then again, I haven't done any anticipated subjects. And I'm also a Maths HL student, which means that I treat Maths SL as a joke. So you might want to consider carefully on more than just my advice, and ask around more widely. 1 Reply
Guest
I think that if math is something that you excel in then that could be a good choice. My advice would be to see what all of your options are and then make the choice that will be the best for you, your learning style, and your future. Good luck!
