Jonny Young
I've applied to these universities: Queens - Commerce/Engineering U of A - Engineering/Commerce McGill - Commerce/Computer Engineering U of T - Engineering/Commerce Western - BMOSHowever, for the Ontario universities, their deadlines for IB transcripts are quite late. The thing is, my IB mark is not so spectacular, 33/45. Should I send my transcripts to the schools now? Or wait a month or so for the possibility of improving one mark up to 34/45?P.S. My extracurriculars are quite strong I think... Here's a list.- Student Council Grade 12 Representative- Environment Club Co-Founder/Co-Leader- Model UN Head Delegate- Have been to various conferences in Vancouver- won Outstanding Delegate and Honourable Mention awards- Bi-Weekly Church Volunteering - 2 Years- SFU Summer Camps Volunteer - 1 month in the summer everyday from 8am - 3pm- Trip to the Philippines with my school, taught music to children and performed to people in slums and orphanages (2 weeks)- Part of a film crew that went to Kibaale/Masaka, Uganda to film a documentary about a growing school there (2 weeks)- Janitorial/Data-Entry job for local engineering firm (2 years)- Filing Job for Bankruptcy office (2 weeks in the summer)- Played the piano (gr 10 rcm), drums, trombone, and guitar for around 7-8 years- Recreational sports include: Snowboard, tennis, badmintonSO. Should I send now with 33/35 or send in one month with 34/45?What do you think is my chance of admission? I really want to get into Queens Commerce. carpediem
I think you should talk to your teacher and have them change your mark asap, because I know U of T at least is rolling admission so if you apply earlier you have a better chance to get in because there are more places available.
