Sciences for medicine?

Hi! I've just started the IB programme and I'm interested in studying Psychiatry in the future. In order to do so, I have to study medicine for 4 years before I can start specializing in Psychiatry. I'm interested in studying in the UK or US and I'm wondering what sciences I need to do in IB before I start with undergrad. in one of those countries. Due to classes taught simultaneously this is what I can chose: I can take chemistry HL/SL, Biology(Only at SL), Physics HL/SL (But I can't chose both Physics and Biology). I'm planning on taking Math SL, but I'm currently in Math HL to see how things go. So what sciences should I chose? :dontgetit:

Medicine, as in the actual making of the drugs or doctor stuff?

If it's about the drugs I'd do HL Chem and SL Bio (physics won't be needed)

Either math is fine, do what will help you best achieve a higher IB score in my opinion. Or check the universities you are interested in to see if you can get more credit hours for taking HL or SL and then pick.

The US doesn't really "require" you take any specific courses to major in whatever you want. But taking courses to give you credit upon registration will help you be ahead and more prepared. So HL Chem will give you some chemistry credit and let you start at organic chemistry instead of having to do the general chem classes. To see what credit you would get for getting x score in y subject you can visit their admissions website and I'm sure they have a list for you :)

I know nothing of the UK, sorry =/
