scarlettjazz
Hi there,I have a British passport, a house in the UK, and my permanent residence is in the UK, but I've been studing overseas (Asia) for about 4 years now and I will finish my IB overseas. I'm currently here on my parents' work visas, but as I turn 18 soon, I will have to apply for a student visa so I can finish school here. Can I still apply as a home student? I don't want to get disqulified from all of my UK unis, but it is just so much cheaper + you can only take out a student loan if you are a home student. Anyone else in a similar situation? Thanks! Arrowhead
You can apply as a home student, a friend of mine was in a similar situation as you, she left Glasgow when she was 11, lived in Azerbaijan for a few years and then Switzerland for three more until finishing High School. Now she's at the University of Aberdeen and she is paying local fees. Reply
