Unis in Germany

There are some good ones in Berlin as well - Freie Universität and Humboldt.

I have a friend who goes to the Uni of Tübingen (further south, it's a uni-city) who said that the English Business Management program was very popular.

Hello there!

if you wanna study business in Germany you first need to decide if you want to go to an international university or a German one.

The advantage of the German universities are that they mostly don't have any fees, whereas the international ones have often fees as high as fees in e.g. the UK. The disadvantage is that you will need to be completely fluent in German. Most unis require a German certificate such as Destaf or the certificate from the Goethe Institut level C2. Additionally you will need the right combination of IB subjects in order to convert you IB. It includes a higher level subject in either maths or a science (bio, chem, phy). If you don't have the required subject you might need to sit an entrance test or do a preparation year - something like pre college courses.

From what I know is Universität Mannheim the best German university for Betriebswirtschaft (equivalent to Economics), other very good universities are Ludwigs-Maximiliams-Universität München, Universität Heidelberg and Universität Freiburg.

If you wanna study in English you should look into unis such as the EBS (European Business School) in Wiesbaden. However, if you don't want to study in German you should also look for unis elsewhere because the fees for the international universities in Germany are also quite high and everyday life could be harder for you because nearly everything is settled in German (renting a room etc.). However, if you can handle the German living here is quite cheap!

Another thing German universities also have a cutoff for certain subjects. We call it NC (numerus clausus), if you are below it it is unlikely that you can attend the course. You can convert your IB score here http://www.robinsweb.de/index.php%3Foption%3Dcom_content%26view%3Darticle%26id%3D3%26Itemid%3D11
