Antiares
A friend of mine and I are doing a science fair project together, and he wants to do something on chemistry. Does anyone have any suggestions? Reply
Drake Glau
Hmm super awesome chemistry projects....You could figure out a redox reaction and run some light bulbs o.OI'm trying to avoid the stereotyped volcano that you see everywhere... 1 Reply
Antiares
Could you explain what redox is? Reply
Drake Glau
Reduction/Oxidation Reactions, they include ions and e- movement so they can almost be an energy source (you've probably done/heard of this with lemons supplying electricity). It's somewhat complicated (in my opinion) but here's a good link for basic info:http://www.shodor.org/UNChem/advanced/redox/index.html 1 Reply
Antiares
Ah, thanks. I haven't taken chemistry yet, so these terms are a little confusing. Reply
