laryxle
I recently handed my Chemistry IA's in, and I think they were just sent off for moderation. I got a good mark from my teacher (42/48) but I am really certain that I will get moderated down. The reason is that in one of my pracs, in the conclusion and evaluation, I had to use an internet source to explain why something occurred in a prac (it was way beyond my chemistry level). I did source it, but I am unsure as to whether or not this is acceptable to do? I know that there is no point in worrying but I guess i'm just curious lol Reply
dessskris
I think that as long as you quote the source, mention where you get it from. it should be ok. and it is beyond your level anyway, they should understand lar. Reply
Sublime Sunshine
correct me if i'm wrong, but i think there was something in the practical criteria about comparing results to cited literature values in the conclusion. I don't remember exactly, but i think it might actually be a part of the criteria to do that. Reply
dessskris
with literature value, yes correct. but I think its in the design aspect as in the background info we need to guess what should be happening or state the lit value Reply
Sublime Sunshine
Well that's what laryxle is doing, explaining the results of your prac in terms of what should be happening according to literature. So I think this should be fine as long as you cited the source. Reply
