Aditya Chandra
Hello! I was wondering whether I require to take Higher level Maths for IB if I want to study Finance/Accounting at university? Currently I am taking up: HL EconomicsHL Physics HL History SL MathsSL Ab initio SpanishSL English Literature I have taken Economics as I want to go into that route. Physics, it will help me with the quantitative and analytical skills hopefully? and History will help me with more of the qualitative side, essay writing and everything. Do you think these options are ok? I do not think I am competent for Higher Maths as I am not outstanding in Maths (I'm good, but not great). Gaby
It's best to check directly with universities in the countries you want to apply, as they may vary. Some universities in some countries might require, or prefer, that applicants have taken HL Maths. e.g. http://www.lse.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/howToApply/DepartmentalAdmissionsCriteria2016/accounting.aspx LSE says that they prefer candidates with HL Maths.
