missrunway Posted July 8, 2008 Report Share Posted July 8, 2008 okay so my cousin is going o IB2 in fall and she wants to apply to oxford, but expencies come up to about 50,000 CAD. her parents make like 96,000 per year and she asked me if she would be avble to go wihout taking loans cuz she doesn't want to, but she's got gonna ask her parents until she know if they can afford it. any help for her???? will she be able to go?? deissi Posted July 13, 2008 Report Share Posted July 13, 2008 Unfortunately as she's non-EU, she will have to pay the full fee (like you said) instead of ~£3000, and she doesn't qualify for the student loan given out by the government that you only have to pay when you're graduated and make £15000 a year. Basically she has to take loans because it is very hard to get a scholarship, especially because she's non-EU. Even if she got EU payments, it'd be hard to pay for all of it without loans, though.
