ppincus 2
So according to some, having language pen-pals can count for creativity hours. How? Basically, what you have to do is find someone who is doing IB somewhere else (outside of your country of residence), and talk to them in a language that you are not fluent in. In this case, us IB students can use our language B to fit that criteria. The only requirement is that you conduct your email entirely in that foreign language, and that person will reply to you in their foreign language (one in which you can understand of course). The emails should be set about once or twice a week for about 15 minutes, depending on how free you are. However, you'll notice that if this is continued over the course of your two IB years, then you would have 1) accumulated 26 creativity hours, and 2) studied/ improved your language B for the course. So what do you have to do? Below in this thread, include: 1) your name2) your IB language B3) the languages you are able to speak fluently4) your contact details (fb link, twitter, etc.) --> only if you wish toHope to see some participation!Post by: MahutaGuys, do not post your email addresses on here, it's against the rules. If you want someone's email to contact just PM them on here. MahaIBS Supervisor 1 Reply

Sandwich 2,452
I'm afraid that, although the IB apparently consider this a lovely thing to do (...hurrah?) they don't allow it to be counted for CAS hours.Although I reckon the language bonus it gives you might make it worth it for your Language, even if not CAS Reply
