St. Roberts Pre-IB Textbooks

Recommended Posts

I'm a Grade 8 student at a YCDSB school who has been accepted into the St. Roberts Pre-IB program. I've heard that it shares the same textbooks as the regular academic program, but I'd like to know the name of the textbooks so I can study in advance.

Hi, I'm sorry, but this has nothing to do with your question. I have a question for you. When did you get your results of being accepted in the program?

Mid-December 2022. It only says my exams are in 2025 because I couldn't select a later date.

Hello! Ik this reply is pretty late but heh

I'm a Grade 9 Pre-IB student currently going to St Roberts CHS (Grade 10 in September!). The textbooks you need to study really depend on the teacher and course you receive. For example, I know my science teacher used a different textbook than my friend's teacher did. I can share a list of different textbooks I used in my courses below (note that it may vary depending on your teachers and courses)

Math: a huge booklet of 200+ pages was given (only accessible through your teacher)

Science: Investigating Science 9 by Pearson

English: Readings included Romeo and Juliet, various different comprehension books, and mythology (all will be provided or found in the library)

Geography: https://drive.google.com/file/d/15HWlmeMSn049ZSio1jIkm_UfE-jnAhsu/view (unit 2) and https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fRw-cuZ1yg5Cs41YahaG3_V7z_AZ16Yd/view (unit 4)

French: N/A

Religion: N/A

At any point, feel free to contact me if you still have questions or are looking for advice :)) (and congrats on joining the many suffering students of STR IB!!)

- Note that the readings do not include possible readings for any elective courses -
