As such, it would be important to include an in-depth analysis about the anti-communist sentiment in the U.S. during the time, which you can tie in with the historical background of the cold war. Research how this anti-communist sentiment found itself in the educational programs in the U.S., and analyze how that began to shape American education, nationalism, and relationship with the USSR. You could discuss rising American nationalism and militarism with an emphasis for STEM-based research/education and advancement in technology in order to beat the Soviets, too. Make sure you are using scholarly articles and written texts to exemplify your arguments. Cool topic. Good luck!
