How do I format my history extended essay?

I know that the essay is suppose to be 

 

• Intro
  • Thesis statement
• argument 1
• argument 2
• argument 3
• (continue till you are happy with the number of arguments)
• conclusion
  
  However, my question is mainly centered around the body part, how should they be formatted?
  
  Should it be in terms of for example,
  
  Lets say I'm arguing that causes and effects of the Mexican-American war (I'm not doing this but just an example)
• 
  Would for example I follow this way for each argument?

  Evidence:
  
  Explain (briefly):
  
  Evidence (again):
  
  Explain (briefly): 
  
  and use this template 3X for one argument?
  
  [By the way, the arguments are basically topic sentences correct? If so, can I also do 3 points per argument, and 3 evidences pretty much?  So it would be like this:
  
  Argument (Topic sentence)
  
  [Point
  
  Evidence
  
  Explain ] x 3
