Human participants bad? For biology IA?

My IB coordinator just informed me that there were a few biology IAs with human participants in our school in the past, and all of them got really bad marks, he said that whilst checking it was good but when it was given back it was bad marks, that's what he observed.. but my biology ia isn't hardcore testing on humans or making them do something they will just sit down comfortably and I'll do some tests to check their sympathetic and parasympathetic reactions, and the test itself isn't anything discomforting at all? So will I lose marks for having human participants and should I change my biology ia? I really don't want to because I like this biology ia
