samlloyd 0
Hi there, On the IB Extended Essay Guide, it says the following about the WS EE: "Successful interdisciplinary essays require an integrative argument or explanation—that is, the different subjects should be coherently brought together to address the question through, for example: a complex causal explanation a leading metaphor a model an analogy." Now, I'm a bit confused. I kind of get the meaning of the first bullet, but what on earth do the last three bullet points mean? Are they saying that I should use a metaphor in my World Studies EE? Can anyone provide (meaningful, sophisticated) examples? Thanks! Reply

That being said, I think it doesn't matter so much what the other bullet points mean exactly - they just want you to find a way to consistently link the two or more disciplines in a way that makes sense and still makes the whole thing work together. I think here they are just saying that this linking can also be done with some kind of creative approach. Reply
