Hi guys so i have to submit a proposal for my ib ee and i've decided to do it on psychology.

A few questions that I've come up with are to what extent does having an eating disorder affect the social development and holistic development of a student?

how has the new media treatment of skinny stars actually affected body perception of teenage girls?

please let me know if these are good and if u have any more ideas

Try sticking to either soc. development or holistic development, not both. Focus on just one area/thing, as my own psych teacher and EE supervisor advised me, as you might end up going over the max no. of words having to explain and refer to both throughout the EE, which they said tends to happen. It's best to keep things specific, so clarify what type of eating disorder, too (and maybe what students? Highschool or university?).

The other one sounds too vague. What is "new media treatment" exactly? Lack of different body type representation in media/entertainment industry? Social media?

I think the first one's fine. Another idea you can do is maybe if there's a correlation between how much time people/teenage girls spend on social media (or watching movies/tv shows) and body image issues. These are all just my own opinion. Goodluck on your EE!
