Should I purchase the IB study guides or Course Companions?

Recommended Posts

Hi all!

I've just started my 2-year journey in IBDP i.e. DP1. I'm currently taking Math AA HL, Economics HL, Psychology HL, Economics HL, English SL and French ab initio. Hence, what study material (study guide, course companion or something else) would y'all recommend I buy for these aforementioned subjects?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated too, thanks!

You should do research into how well your school performed historically. If everyone averages a 6, then you can just do what everyone does and should be fine. If everyone averages a 3 or 4, then perhaps course companions are the minimum investments.

You should read the official syllabi, most of which are available for free here: https://ibsurvival.com/files/category/14-ib-syllabus-data-booklets/ These are MUST-READS if you want a 6 or higher.
