Calculator Advice

I am not super familiar with the TI-30XB, but I think the biggest difference is that the TI-84 is a graphing calculator and the TI-30XB is not. In other words, if you don't need to graph things in the first part you probably can use the TI-30XB. I would suggest asking your teacher or checking your syllabus/textbook to see what sections you cover first.

Hello. The first months are for getting familiar with the concepts rather than performing calculations that would require TI-84. However, it very much depends on the school/instructor what kind of projects they assign you - you may be required to take screenshots of your calculator screen showing regression line on plotted data at some point. You should be good for now but check in with your teacher.
