MA123
I need to submit an EE research question proposal in two weeks. I have decided to choose English Literature as the subject to do my EE and finally settled on the book 'Life of Pi' by Yann Martel (so a category 1 english EE). I am having trouble choosing a specific question for that book. I feel like it contains a lot of themes that could be great in analysis but I don't know which one to pick. For examples, I am having trouble picking one of these themes in the book: religion, the struggle for survival, the role of morality in the struggle of survival, anthropomorphism, the parallel between the Pi's story with the animals and the humans, the role of despair and doubt... (or any others that are present) If you have read the book 'Life of Pi' please help me pick which topic you think fits best with the book and is the most focused! Thank you so much!! ChocolateAndVanilla
I would say that the themes that fit this book the most are the struggle for survival and anthropomorphism. I don't think I can help you much with the research question itself but I would definitely lean towards those two or maybe somehow joining them together in your EE?
