Maths IA topic

Hi,

I am trying to come up with a good topic for my maths IA. So far, I have talked to my teacher about doing something with the Newton's law of cooling. I don't want to apply this to tea/water/etc. as I think that would be too simple, because it is what the law is based around. My teacher suggested doing some sort of experiment myself that I can then apply the theory to and come up with my own formula for that specific experiment, but I am having trouble coming up with an idea for the experiment. The only thing I can think of is changing body temperature in a swimming pool, but I am not sure if that will work for an IA. Any feedback or ideas would be very helpful.
