Sarah1234567 Posted May 21, 2019 Report Share Posted May 21, 2019 Hiya, I've written a Language A Category 2 EE on the question 'How do Tan and Yoshimoto use symbols to deconstruct societal expectations on Mikage and Waverly’s journeys to self-actualisation?' pertaining to the short story "Rules of the Game" (written in english) and the english translated version of Kitchen (originally written in Japanese). Although I analyse the English version of Kitchen, I don't mention the translator, Megan Backus or anything about the Japanese version. I solely focus on Yoshimoto's purpose/use of language features etc and interpretations of the translated version. Do you see any problems with this approach?
