Is Ender's Game studied at your school?

Am considering this book for EE, but was told it was studied in Gr. 9 at some schools and so would not be ideal. 

Did you study this book at your school? What year did you study it in? And what kinds of things did you learn about it?

It isn't studied in our school. 

 

However, as long as you haven't studied it, what's the problem? EEs will always give a deeper insight into  (one aspect) of a work than a middle school lit class. (For what it's worth, we've had students write EEs on Jane Eyre and similarly overdone books and score VERY well.)

I think this is a book for people who love science fiction and should not be in the school curriculum.

Unfortunately, this book has not been studied in our school. But from the reviews, I heard that the book is very interesting.

I remember reading this book in grade 6 or 7 (forgot), but I do remember it having loads of depth and nuance so an exploration into some of the themes of the novel juxtaposed with that of another novel may be an interesting EE idea to probe. Unfortunately, I don't remember the specifics of the novel, but, at the time, it was one of my favorite novels that we read in class for sure. If you end up selecting this novel then I would recommend, again, to juxtapose its themes with that of another novel. Good luck.

for me its taught in my school, we read it in like grade 9 though, ive heard of people doing it but when they did the scores were low from what i heard, so be carfull
