dj2002 Posted November 25, 2017 Report Share Posted November 25, 2017 Hi guys, I'm in my 1st year of the DP and we're going to be doing our IOP in January - so far we've done 'The Great Gatsby', 'De:TALES' and 'In Praise of Shadows'. Right now, I'm thinking of doing a presentation on how Tanizaki (author of 'In Praise of Shadows') portrayed the Japanese way of life similar to that of the way of life which is recommended in Heidegger's 'Sein und Zeit'*. I was also thinking of doing a presentation on the difference of the perception of beauty in 'The Great Gatsby' and 'In Praise of Shadows'. I'd really appreciate some help!
