Very unusual topic in an IB forum

Do any of you play browser based (or downloadable) strategy games when you get spare time? I used to play a lot of games like LoL but I'm just looking for a quick game with no time dedication required to wind down with at night or something...LoL is obviously a horrible choice for IB since it forces you to play for at least 20 minutes.

Preferably a managing type game like restaurant city (or hotels, casinos, etc) or an RPG like Runescape

I do! I play quite a bit when I get the time! I'd love to share some recommedations for RPGs as they are my favourite genre but I've never played Runescape or LoL (what is that even?). If you could provide some explanation, I could give some recomendations. These are the ones I can think of managing games from the top of my head:

1. Theme Park (You manage a theme park. Later on, you can create a chain of theme parks around the world)

2. Princess Maker 2 (Never got through much of this but you're responsible for raising a girl from child to adulthood in a medieval setting. This one is good for winding down at night and does not involve much commitment)

3. Shadow President ( I played it when I was 3 lol. You are the President of the United States and you get to manage the world. Yay!)

4. SimCity (Bleh.)

5. Mcdonald's Videogame ( I was never fond of this one but I'd say try it out.)

LoL is League of Legends. It's extremely popular right now so i don't know if an explanation is necessary but it's a RPG type 5 vs 5 game where you select a hero to fight with your 4 teammates. It's a per-game basis type game (don't know how to explain) where your progress is limited to access to more heros since in each game you "level up" but it's only in that game (each game you "start fresh")

Runescape is an MMORPG with a lot less action that requires quite a bit of grinding to level up various skills. I really liked it and tried to get back to it but after not playing for 7 years it's a huge headache to catch up with all the updates.

Used to play a lot of facebook games like hotel/restaurant city  :D

ElectroCity is a very short game (if I remember correctly it's about 150 turns), and it's pretty enjoyable. You're the mayor of a town and you have to maintain electricity supply, the environment, your population's happiness, and so on.

I played this last night and it was really fun! :D

I don't play much in terms of online RPG's but when you mention Facebook management games I think of Farmville. My sister would keep on nagging me every 30 minutes or so when I had the computer during the summer when she played that game because "her cows were hungry."

Yeah, I love this game. The other browser game I play is club penguin, it's kiddy but fun.

Also, the google chrome game. If you don't have wifi, make the dino run. It's tons of fun.
