Psychology EE - Effects of Gaming

Hello Guys, this is my first post here. It's a very nice community to have.

I need help on my EE specific topic from the general topic of the side effects of gaming.

My first research question, which was destined to be rejected the first moment I decided, was:

To what extent are the researches about violence caused by gaming true?

The teacher said that I can use "To what extent does gaming cause violence"

To which I modified it to, "To what extent do violent video games cause violence"

And then, again the teacher said: that I need to rephrase it to a better question. But then, she sent me links showing the "GOOD" side of gaming, about how it can save the world, and stuff, I don't know maybe it's because she was also a heavy gamer when she was in college.

So here I am stuck thinking about how to make it happen. I'm thinking about:

"Discuss the effects of gaming whether bad or good"

Please help me out in the right direction

Well, what she is saying is true, according the the latest research, gaming improves the co-ordination of the left side of the brain, and some cases people war related games will have good alertness and many other stuff. But the biggest disadvantage is that gamers will in fact will emulate the characters in the game ( It can be from the protagonists from the games like GTA, Gears of War, Assassins Creed etc etc) wherein some people feel that they are these characters and for a moment they will live in a fantasy world imagining to be a defender of justice, master criminal and mafia leader or best soccer player in the world (this one can improve your football skills!)

This is based on my experience, my friends and so you can actually modify this topic to " How gamers develop the persona of the protagonists in the video games and whether it is good or bad"? You can prepare a survey question and ask these questions specifically for 3 different genres of games 1) Violent. 2) Skills (Fifa) 3) Criminal (GTA) .

Might be a very good and specific topic and hope you like it.
