My current subjects are HL Math, Physics, Lang & Lit, ESS, Business, and French ab initio. I have 2 concerns with this: 1. Business and ESS are taught by the same person, and he kind of can't teach 2. Because I take Business, ESS, and ab initio, I'm afraid that it would not be competitive enough when applying to universities As a result, I'm considering one of the following: a) Take Business as a HL (have 4 HLs) b) Change Business to Chemistry c) Change ESS to Economics What do you suggest? I'm leaning towards the first two options, but I really don't k

Hey guys!! Might be a really dumb question but... I am applying to dutch universities at the moment and all of them requires a copy of my diploma or grades transcript to upload in my applications. I have already ordered the official transcripts from the IB but I am really confused on how to finish the applications now since I haven't been informed by any of them that they received my results... I would be so grateful if anyone that have applied to universities in the Netherlands could help me on that application process? Thanks a lot.

I'm just wondering what subject to do for my EE. I have a nice Physics investigation topic that I can do several experiments and write about them, which my Physics teacher kind of support and agree with the topic. But I plan to study Economics at the university... so I am just wondering if I write my EE on Economics will that boost my application? But I feel that it will be rather difficult to do so since Economics theory exists in the world and it is rather difficult to write about Economics research because economists have done a bunch of them. Another alternative is writing about Math.

Hi guys, I'm in IB year 2 and I'm applying to some universities in Hong Kong for early action. And um... they require my predicted score so I requested my teachers for that last week and I don't think I can get a decent scores.. I'm guessing somewhere around 29~30...maybe 31 if possible. :/ Anyways, I'm really interested in PolyU Hong Kong and I'll apply to business marketing and it's my first choice as well. I heard that PolyU doesn't really require high predicted scores (except for hotel management) and they usually accept almost everyone who takes IB diploma (I'm not sure about this b

For the most part, I'm a well-rounded person. I get top marks, I am very sociable, I take part in lots of extracurriculars (Model UN, Volunteering)... there's only one problem: I'm not athletic. I'm fit enough, and if it's just a matter of going to the gym then that's fine, but I wouldn't say I'm good enough to join a team sport at my school. I've heard that in order to get admitted to Ivy Leagues, you need to join a team sport? Is this true, and does this apply to top universities in the US and UK? Instead of team sports, are individual sports okay: martial arts, archery, etc? Is there an

My high level courses are in maths, physics and chemistry. I had taken French as one of my subjects thinking that learning a foreign language would strengthen my application but I have been scoring very low at french and I am thinking to switch to my mother tongue Hindi from french so that I could score more. I plan to study engineering, will it really matter what my second language is? Please help! ( Note: I am will start my 12th grade in September)

Good people of IBS. Since the application deadline for Oxbridge and all the fancy Med courses is on Monday, and people sometimes send their applications off earlier (or already know where they're going to apply in January), I decided to make this thread. This way, we can all moan about how much stress it is to wait for offers and meet people applying to the same unis. Therefore, post your predictions and choices here, so we can keep it all nice and organised. soooooo.... My predictions are in my signature, so I'm not going to repeat myself. Choices: Oxford (Merton) - Law (BA in Jurispruden
